Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Surmount Steps! By enrolling your child in our educational programs or using our services, you (the parent/guardian) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Surmount Steps.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not enroll in our programs or use our services. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not comply with these terms.
Important: Please read these terms carefully and keep a copy for your records. By proceeding with enrollment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.
Educational Services
Our Commitment
Surmount Steps is committed to providing high-quality educational support and tutoring services. Our services include:
- Personalized tutoring sessions
- Homework assistance and guidance
- Regular progress assessments
- Parent-teacher communication
- Study materials and resources
Service Standards
While we strive to provide excellent educational support, we want to set clear expectations:
- • Educational outcomes depend on student effort, attendance, and engagement
- • We provide guidance and support, but cannot guarantee specific academic results
- • Our role is supplementary to formal school education
- • We follow curriculum guidelines but adapt to individual student needs
Enrollment & Registration
Registration Requirements
To enroll your child, you must:
- Be the parent or legal guardian of the student
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Submit required documents as per DOE Delhi guidelines
- Pay applicable registration and tuition fees
- Agree to these Terms of Service
Age Requirements
We accept students from kindergarten through grade 12. Students must be within the appropriate age range for their enrolled grade level as per Delhi education board standards.
Fees & Payment Terms
Fee Structure
Registration Fee
One-time, non-refundable registration fee due at enrollment
Monthly Tuition
Regular monthly fees based on selected program and grade level
Material Fees
Additional charges for books, worksheets, and learning materials
Late Payment Fee
Applied to accounts with overdue payments beyond grace period
Payment Terms
- • Monthly fees are due by the 5th of each month
- • A grace period of 5 days is provided without penalty
- • Late payment fees apply after the 10th of the month
- • Services may be suspended for payments overdue by 15 days
- • All fees are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR)
- • Payment methods: Cash, Bank Transfer, UPI, or Check
Important Payment Information
Fee schedules are subject to annual review and may be adjusted with 30 days' notice. Any changes will be communicated through our standard communication channels.
Attendance & Student Conduct
Attendance Policy
- Regular attendance is essential for academic progress
- Advance notice required for planned absences
- Make-up sessions may be arranged for legitimate absences
- Excessive absences may result in program termination
Code of Conduct
All students are expected to maintain respectful behavior and follow our guidelines:
Expected Behavior
- • Respect for teachers and peers
- • Active participation in learning
- • Completion of assigned tasks
- • Following safety guidelines
Prohibited Actions
- • Disruptive or disrespectful behavior
- • Use of inappropriate language
- • Damage to property or materials
- • Any form of harassment or bullying
Parent & Guardian Responsibilities
As a parent or guardian, you agree to:
Communication
- • Maintain updated contact information
- • Respond promptly to communications
- • Attend parent-teacher meetings
- • Report any concerns or changes promptly
Support
- • Encourage regular attendance
- • Provide necessary learning materials
- • Support homework completion
- • Reinforce positive behavior
Financial
- • Pay fees promptly as agreed
- • Cover costs of damaged materials
- • Provide advance notice of payment issues
- • Update payment information as needed
Compliance
- • Follow all policies and procedures
- • Ensure student follows conduct rules
- • Respect staff and other families
- • Address behavioral issues promptly
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellation by Parents
- 30-day notice required: Written notice must be provided 30 days before intended withdrawal
- Refund policy: Prorated refunds for unused services, minus applicable fees
- Non-refundable fees: Registration fees and material costs are non-refundable
Termination by Surmount Steps
We reserve the right to terminate services in cases of:
- • Non-payment of fees beyond the grace period
- • Repeated violations of conduct policies
- • Failure to comply with program requirements
- • Disruptive behavior affecting other students
- • Providing false information during registration
Intellectual Property Rights
Our Materials
All educational materials, curricula, worksheets, and resources provided by Surmount Steps remain our intellectual property. These materials are licensed for use solely in connection with our educational services.
- • Materials may not be reproduced or distributed without permission
- • Use is limited to enrolled students for educational purposes
- • Commercial use or resale is strictly prohibited
- • Copyright and trademark rights are protected
Student Work
While students retain ownership of their original work and assignments, they grant Surmount Steps permission to use anonymized samples for educational purposes, program improvement, and promotional materials with appropriate privacy protections.
Limitation of Liability
While we are committed to providing quality educational services, it's important to understand the limitations of our liability:
Educational Outcomes
We cannot guarantee specific academic results or improvements. Educational success depends on multiple factors including student effort, attendance, home support, and individual learning abilities.
Damages
Our liability is limited to the amount of fees paid for services. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Third-Party Services
We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, or applications that may be recommended or used in conjunction with our programs.
Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting and notification through our standard communication channels.
Notification Process
Changes will be communicated via WhatsApp, email, or written notice at least 15 days before taking effect.
Continued Use
Continued enrollment and use of services after notification constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
Disagreement
If you disagree with modifications, you may terminate services according to our cancellation policy.
